Happy New Year, Merry Christmas, and Hello Playoffs!

Hello readers! Again, I must apoligize for being an absent blogger. This is our busy season and this ticket broker has been working his tail off. I just finished working for four straight days on and off the streets of Atlanta at the Peach Bowl, Widespread Panic, Falcons vs. Panthers, and the Sugar Bowl. The Sugar Bowl turned into an abysmal ticket, the worst of all four BCS games. The Rose Bowl is gigantic still with brokers asking $1000 each on Get-In's with the tickets carrying a face value of $175 each.

Now that the holiday season is over and there are just two bowl games left we are now in the very serious stages of getting our ducks in a row for the NFL playoffs and the Super Bowl. Our position at this point in the game is that we do not want to take too much risk one way or the other because we still see a lot of volatility in the price of the Super Bowl ticket. We do not see this one as being a solid $1750 get-in like San Diego three years ago, but as one that could go they way of one of the worst Super Bowl tickets ever or maybe one of the best ever. We feel very positive about the Colts making it to the big game, but the NFC is where all the uncertainty is and the way we look at it there are three teams out of six in the NFC that could make this thing blow up; Bears, Skins, and Giants. The Bears have a bye this weekend but the Skins and the Giants both play so it should be an exciting weekend. I will give you an update of what the ticket reserve and tradesports markets say about the future below.

Buccs vs. Skins - Spread is Buccs -2.5, Tradesports Buccs to win Bid 55 Ask 55.5 (Crap Shoot)

Giants vs. Panthers - Spread is Giants -2.5, Tradesports Giants to win Bid 54 Ask 55 (Crap Shoot)

Patriots vs. Jags, Spread is Pats -7.5, Tradesports Pats to win Bid 74 Ask 75

Bengals vs. Steelers, Spread is Steelers -2.5, Tradesports Steelers to win Bid 59 Ask 59.5

NFC Championship

Seahawks Tradesports Bid 45 Ask 48 --- Ticket Reserve Bid 475 Ask 525
Panthers Tradesports Bid 8 Ask 8.2 --- Ticket Reserve Bid 50 Ask 145
Bears Tradesports Bid 23 Ask 24.5 --- Ticket Reserve Bid 365 Ask 550
Giants Tradesports Bid 8.8 Ask 8.9 --- Ticket Reserve Bid 125 Ask 235
Buccs Tradesports Bid 7.3 Ask 7.8 --- Ticket Reserve Bid 50 Ask 120
Skins Tradesports Bid 6.4 Ask 7.0 --- Ticket Reserve Bid 75 Ask 140

Until next time - Adios!

NFL Super Bowl XL Update

With everything that has been going on in the world of tickets I have been having a real hard time finding the time to write my blog. Now that Thanksgiving is upon us things have slowed a little and here I am again to update you on the current Tradesports.com and Ticketreserve.com prices for AFC/NFC conference champions and fan forwards for the Super Bowl. A lot has changed since I last updated you as you will see in the prices below.

AFC

Indianpolis Colts TS 57/58 Fan Forwards $595

Pittsburgh Steelers TS 9.5/11.5 Fan Forwards $300

New England Patriots TS 8.5/9.9 Fan Forwards $215

Denver Broncos TS 10/11 Fan Forwards $220

NFC

Atlanta Falcons TS 7.5/8.5 Fan Forwards $170

Seattle Seahawks TS 26.5/27.5 Fan Forwards $350

Carolina Panthers TS 18.5/20.5 Fan Forwards $350

New York Giants TS 10/11.9 Fan Forwards $250

Dallas Cowboys TS 13.0/16.5 Fan Forwards $180

Good thing we have not gone long the Falcons, Eagles, or Patriots this year. Instead we have gone long heavy on the Colts at lower than market prices, the Giants at lower than market prices, and the Bengals at around current market value. The Cowboys have been coming on strong, and the Seahawks appear to be the favorite in the NFC. We were trying to buy the Seahawks when the market was much lower and missed them and now they seem to be getting away from us.

Adios!

Such a sorry blogger

Howdy People. I must say that I am sorry for being so absent in writing my daily blog. I must confess that when we started the blog it was in our slowest months of the year and it was easy for me to rant and rave every day, but now we are in the beginning of our busiest season and I am finding it harder and harder to make the time to write.

THE BALANCE OF POWER IS CHANGING!

Indianapolis 40 New England 21

Peyton Manning was 0-7 against the Patriots in New England until last night. The Patriots have now fallen to a record of 4-4, while the Colts have moved on to 8-0.

The Eagles continue to have problems with T.O., and some of you may recall that during training camp I blogged that due to the problems with T.O. that the Eagles would not make it back to the Super Bowl this year. After last weeks happenings and the Eagles loss to the Redskins I am even more sure of that prediction. The NFC looks like a race between the Falcons and the Panthers with a very hot Giants team threatening.

Below you will find current prices for Tradesports contracts for the AFC/NFC championships and prices for Super Bowl fan fowards next to them. The Tradesports contracts are 0-100 contracts on each team winning their conference, if you buy the Colts at 50 and the Colts win the AFC your contracts expire at a value of 100 so you double your money. Conversely, if the Colts lose in the AFC Championship game your contracts would expire at a value of 0. Fan Forwards are contracts on each team making the Super Bowl, but here if your team makes it you are granted the right to buy Super Bowl tickets at face value($600). So if you buy the Colts at $500 per contract and they make it to the Super Bowl and you buy your tickets for $600 your in the seats at $1100 total.

AFC

Indianapolis Colts TS 55/58 Fan Forwards $500

Pittsburgh Steelers TS 12/14 Fan Forwards $325

New England Patriots TS 8.1/9 Fan Forwards $300

NFC

Atlanta Falcons TS 21/22 Fan Forwards $190

Seattle Seahawks TS 19/19.1 Fan Fowards $200

Carolina Panthers TS 18/20 Fan Forwards $345

New York Giants TS 13/15.4 Fan Forwards $325

Ticket Update

The White Sox beat the Astros last night in Houston in 14 innings and now prices in the secondary market for the game tonight are dropping fast indicating that Astros fans have thrown in the towel on their team. When it comes to gambling on sporting events I am normally a contrarian so the fact the Astros fans have given up so easy tells me the Astros may be a good bet for tonight.

I am a life long Auburn fan, and Auburn grad, but in my life I do not know that I have ever seen the Iron Bowl Classic ticket priced as high as it is today. For those of you who don't know, the Iron Bowl Classic is the annual Auburn vs. Alabama game. This year the game takes place on November 19, in Auburn, Alabama. Get-in's are currently fetching $295 per ticket, but the good seats lower between the 30's are very scarce and are currently worth $800-$1000 per ticket. If Alabama and Auburn both win out their schedules this game takes on huge meaning because the winner of this matchup will be the winner of the SEC West and go to the Championship game.

The NASCAR season finale, the Ford 400, is also a very tough ticket. Get-Ins are currently priced at around $150 per ticket, and the good seats are $300-$500. These tickets are in very short supply and if you can find them anywhere would be good to pick up on speculation because this thing looks like it could get tighter.

Until tomorrow - Adios.

Evening Update

Folks as we get busier and busier and more into our hot season it is becoming harder and harder for me to write my blog on a daily basis. It's not that I have nothing to say, it's that I do not have time to say it! Right now my head is spinning because I am working all of the events listed below at the same time and it's a lot of details to keep straight.

Florida vs. Georgia
Georgia vs. Auburn
Auburn vs. Alabama
SEC Championship
Sugar Bowl
Rose Bowl
Super Bowl
Atlanta Falcons
Breeders Cup
Checker Auto Parts 500
Ford 400
World Series

To say the least we have our hands full!

The Florida Georgia ticket is dropping like a stone and next week we may see more blood letting. The Club Level seats on the Georgia side are very scarce and valuable but endzones and uppers are all over the place and losing value by the minute.

We really hoped the Cardinals would win last night but the Astros were just too tough. World Series tickets are still tough to come by and still pricey but the prices did ease up a bit today.

The Auburn/Georgia and Auburn/Alabama tickets are both still very strong and tough to come by. Get In's for the Iron Bowl are holding tight at $295 per.

The Ford 400 ticket is proving once again to be a very tight ticket. The Nextel Cup race is coming down to the wire and our boy Biffle is still in the hunt. As always I like to give you some tradesports data, but I have never given NASCAR tradesports data so here it us below.

Stewart 29.0/32.0
Johnson 23.1/27.0
Biffle 15.0/18.0
Newman 11.0/13.0
Martin 7.0/9.0
Kenseth 2.0/3.5
Busch 1.0/3.0

There are five more races to go; Martinsville, Atlanta, Texas, Phoenix, and Homestead. The Biff is only 11 points behind so we are putting our money on him to win it all.

Until tomorrow - Adios

Balls

Congrats to all those that had the balls to buy the Cardinals contracts yesterday on tradesports. You made a nice pick up!

Houston Astros vs. St. Louis Cardinals, Cardinals to win 33.1/35.4

Big Update

Again, I am sorry that I have not posted in several days. It just so happens that this ticket broker has been very busy with college football, pro football, baseball playoffs, and NASCAR. A lot has happened since I last posted. It appears that in baseball I will be half right again unless the Cardinals can start a big rally this afternoon in Houston. The Patriots lost again and I can not help but feel that the world of NFL is turning upside down again and we all may be very surprised at which teams make it to Super Bowl XL.

Below are your latest tradesports prices for the NLCS, and NFL Conference Championships.

NLCS

Houston Astros vs. St. Louis Cardinals, Cardinals to win 18.6/19.0

AFC

Indianapolis Colts 38.6/39.9
New England Patriots 10.0/12.5
Cincinnati Bengals 10.0/11.0
Pittsburgh Steelers 8.0/10.0

NFC

Philadelphia Eagles 24.1/26.0
Atlanta Falcons 13.5/16.0
Seattle Seahawks 12.0/14.5
Carolina Panthers 11.1/13.5
Tampa Buccaneers 10.0/12.5

Until tomorrow - Adios
