Our Condolences

Our heartfelt condolences go out to our British brothers and sisters today. A group of cowards from third world shit holes has decided again to attack innocent Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, and Brothers. Bombs exploded at tube stations all over London this morning and working people of London were killed and injured in large numbers. I am sincerely upset over the loss of life and the injuries.

There is a silver lining to this attack. The silver lining is that perhaps this will be a wake up call to the folks in England that continually find themselves sympathetic with the Terrorists causes and aims. I see that Mayor Ken Livingston actually came out of his hole in Singapore this morning long enough to condemn the terrorists that I was quite sure that he loved. Funny how an attack on your own people in your own city may change your mind about things Ken.

I want to remind everyone of a very simple truth that is often overlooked when the War on Terror is argued about. The truth is this:

When America and her allies attack the terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other countries that aid and harbor them we take great care to attack specific targets and minimize civilian or innocent people casualties. We are not perfect, but we do this better than anyone.

When the terrorists strike they specifically seek to attack the innocents by blowing up tube stations in London, Buses in Israel, and knocking down towers in New York. They say there are no innocents, that we are all guilty and enemies. Folks, they want to kill you, your Mom, and your children, and they want to do it the most gruesome and dramatic way for the world to see. These people will actually sacrifice their own sons and daughters at young and tender ages and send them on a bus full of innocent’s children and mothers to maim and destroy.

The point is that we are fighting animals and cowards and we need to remember this. Animals can be dangerous but we are for the most part smarter and bigger than them so in the end we prevail. Treat them like animals, kill them like animals.

Statement on the London bombings by George Galloway on behalf of Respect
We extend our condolences to those who have lost their lives today and our heartfelt sympathy to all those who have been injured by the bombs in London.
No one can condone acts of violence aimed at working people going about their daily lives. They have not been a party to, nor are they responsible for, the decisions of their government. They are entirely innocent and we condemn those who have killed or injured them.
The loss of innocent lives, whether in this country or Iraq, is precisely the result of a world that has become a less safe and peaceful place in recent years.
We have worked without rest to remove the causes of such violence from our world. We argued, as did the Security Services in this country, that the attacks on Afghanistan and Iraq would increase the threat of terrorist attack in Britain. Tragically Londoners have now paid the price of the government ignoring such warnings.
We urge the government to remove people in this country from harms way, as the Spanish government acted to remove its people from harm, by ending the occupation of Iraq and by turning its full attention to the development of a real solution to the wider conflicts in the Middle East.
Only then will the innocents here and abroad be able to enjoy a life free of the threat of needless violence.
